"I am more than my emotions"
. . . this is all happening while completely sober (no drugs of any kind and/or alcohol). At this time in her life, she was on the last leg of finishing a second Master's Degree, and of course, working full time in an office environment . . . “Spiritual awakening defined” in Google search-box and the first thing found is “An Awakening is when the confused and frightened self transcends to a higher consciousness, a awareness full of love and peace . . ."
Well, that explains it all, perhaps, in some perspectives. However, that day on that elevator, as I will refer to often since the experience was a catalyst for my “spiritual awakening” (go to http://thespiritualarcher.com/ to learn more), I’d say “I agree”, and yup I was definitely confused, frightened somewhat and I did transcend those over time, and still transcending things. I do believe there will never be an end to transcending things. According to some articles of the “spiritual awakening” genre, people are carrying loads of data from many past lives (see stories written by Dolores Cannon, a best-selling author and past-life regressionist and hypnotherapist who specializes in the recovery and cataloging of Lost Knowledge. She teaches her unique technique of hypnosis all over the world. She has been specializing in past-life therapy since 1979. (Wikipedia) So, to transcend all the confused, frightened parts of the self may take a lifetime, or more to awaken to one’s truest nature. Except, there comes a time in life when a kind of catalyst happens to awaken someone, at much faster rate than the “normal”. Catalyst like the one on the elevator where the heavens seemed to open up, or there could have been any number of cataclysmic circumstances to begin an awakening in a person’s world.
So, what is spiritual? In my perspective, “spirits” are felt but unseen, you can’t physically touch, or explain them. Sad, mad, angry, joyous, happy, excited, etc. are all spirits of things that no one can design with a map. According to Google search “spiritual defined”, “relating to or affecting the human spirit or soul as opposed to material or physical things”. (Google.com search)
Well, okay then if spiritual are simply feelings or emotions like fear, confusion, mad, sad, etc., what is spiritual awakening? In my perspective, spiritual awakening is when the mad, sad, angry, joyous, happy, excitements all become intensified, and that emotional intensity becomes strong enough that the best choice in the matter is “allowing” or “letting go of full control” over the world around us, and placing our attention on the world within us, allowing feelings to flow with ease and grace, which is a part the awakening process. Letting go and allowing feelings to churn within and not react to them is a challenge in and of itself, because old habits tend to die hard.
For the reason that intense feelings I felt at the onset of the phenomena, as well as the intensity of the love I felt for this total stranger (the companion on the elevator), with feelings as real as any feeling of love and loss anyone could experience, eventually became like dust in the wind. Although I will never forget the experience, and will continue to hold the love in my heart, why did I have to go through all that inner suffering then? In hindsight, I must've taken all those feelings way too seriously.

Since we were born, I believe, designed our spirit by feelings we felt and and emotions we respond to, learned to depend on them growing up. And, we chose to put our highest faith in feelings like dwelling in the past, or other feeling catalysts in decision-making processes. In a sense, a spiritual awakening is saying, we have placed our whole heart on the engine (feeling, emotions) and forgot about the car (our whole self).
Something is in the air that is guiding us to wake up to “the one” behind feelings, emotions, and in that, we forgot how it feels to unconditionally love self. When we begin to place our faith in that we were all created perfect, because the Artist who created us put a lot of time and effort into a masterpiece, that feelings in and of themselves are just dust in the wind.
Managing the Vibrational Being
As stated by Abraham Hicks, as Esther Hicks who channels a person named “Abraham”. She is an American inspirational speaker and author. She has co-written nine books with her husband Jerry Hicks, presented numerous workshops on the law of attraction (Wikipedia). She states, in one of her many speaking engagements; “know how to manage your vibrational beingness so no condition throws you”. In other words, you become a master at managing emotions through many outward conditions that is thrown at you, while maintaining a vibration of loving calmness.
However, the outer world throws us all the time, in many, many directions. How is it possible to maintain a vibration of loving calmness, when the world is falling apart? That's the thing of this spiritual awakening process . . . the world starts with us, where we get to choose living or resisting, love.
The 2012, Mayan Prophecies, Changes to Our World
According to many authors, spiritual leaders, and mainstream media, a blog quote by Steve Noble of The Soul Matrix sums what some are saying. “Earth has been a ‘dark’ planet for many thousands of years. We have been locked in a form of spiritual quarantine and it has been quite challenging until fairly recently to birth much light here. This has been an experiment in separation consciousness that has gone just about as far as it can go.” (Noble, Steve, Sept 9, 2017 http://thesoulmatrix.com/global-shift/ascension-time-face-dark-side/) And others call it the Book of Revelations, end times, and still others say that “we crossed the prophetic threshold of Dec 21, 2012, and have formally shifted World Ages. We are now living in a transitional time, in the beginning stage of the Dawning Sixth Sun, also called the Fifth World of Peace” by Eden Sky 13moon http://www.13moon.com/prophecy%20page.htm.
What Does Feelings Have to Do With Anything?
So what does that have to do with feelings? That darn “elevator” experience in 2012! A great change took place in my life that day, and I knew that the only way through all those intensified feelings, was to go within. If the 2012 prophecies say anything to me, it would be to look within. I believe that the experience was a wakeup call for me to ascend, or get ready for ascension to a new, peaceful world. And, the only way, inside, self.
Something is most definitely happening in our world today, and I do believe us, those who resonate with the “global, spiritual awakening” genre, know too well that we are all headed in uncharted territory, hence, awakening toward transcending confusion and the fear parts of self.
Going Within?
What does it mean to go within? For my experiences, it means to step back (spiritually), take a deep breath and dive into the ailments of me, through the goings on of feelings churning through me, and in essence, learn to love, embrace and transcend each and every one feeling that enters my energy field. If that is how I must transcend to the "Fifth
World of Peace" or whatever that place is that feels good to me, I honestly don’t know any other way. That “elevator” experience did something to me. I know, because after that moment in time, anything I do to avoid the inside, only compound more intense feelings to contend with. Learning to surrender, allowing my insides to be, while being aware the inner happenings without attachment, seems to be one of the the ways to ride the wave of the spiritual awakening process.
Next Up: “What ever happened to the companion on the elevator?”, "The Devil, the most beautiful . . . but . . ." Then, “What is a Mantra and how to make one?”.
