Our Approach Toward
Sustainable Urban Redevelopment

To redefine 'green' renovations by remodeling urban starter homes to energy-efficient, and affordable homes for families, while fostering a deep sense of ownership and pride within the community. This includes establishing a headquarters with coworking/event space for local small businesses.

🌿 Our Approach: Greener Homes Should Also Be More Affordable

Exploring practical ways to reduce household costs while creating more efficient, sustainable urban homes.

At Urban Green Homes, we believe sustainability and affordability should go hand in hand. As energy and other household costs continue to put pressure on family budgets, making a home affordable means thinking beyond its purchase price—it also means considering what it costs to live there month after month.

Instead of always tearing down and starting over, we're exploring how existing urban homes can be improved to use energy and water more efficiently, reduce unnecessary household expenses, and provide comfortable, sustainable places to live.

Our journey begins with Pilot Project #001, where we'll explore practical improvements including energy efficiency, solar energy, rainwater harvesting, smart-home technology and environmentally thoughtful landscaping.

But we're asking more than, “Is it green?”  Does it work? Does it save money? Is it worth the investment? And would we do it again?

We'll live with the improvements for approximately one year, documenting real-world costs, utility usage, savings, performance and lessons learned.

🏡 Reimagining the Future of Affordable Urban Housing

From One Home to Greener, Stronger Neighborhoods

Urban Green Homes envisions a future where existing urban homes are given new life—creating attractive, efficient and sustainable housing that is more affordable to live in.

What begins with one home can grow into revitalized blocks, greener neighborhoods and community-centered spaces where people can live, work, connect and thrive.

One home. One block. One community. A greener way forward. 🌿

🌿 Fostering Community Resilience

Greener Homes. Stronger Neighborhoods. Connected Communities.

Urban Green Homes believes sustainable redevelopment is about more than improving buildings—it’s about strengthening the communities around them. is to bring residents, local businesses, skilled professionals and community partners together to help reimagine existing urban homes and neighborhoods with sustainability, affordability and community pride in mind.

By preserving what can be preserved, improving what already exists and sharing what we learn, we hope to encourage greener homes, stronger blocks and neighborhoods that can thrive for generations.

Because lasting redevelopment isn't only about changing places. It's about bringing people together to help shape what comes next. 🌱

🌱 Creating a Model for Future Green Redevelopment

Testing Today. Learning for Tomorrow.

Urban Green Homes hopes to demonstrate how existing urban homes can be thoughtfully retrofitted for a greener, more efficient and more affordable future.

What we learn through our pilot projects can help shape a practical model for future redevelopment—one that preserves existing housing, evaluates sustainable technologies, considers long-term affordability, and shares real-world results.

Our hope is that these lessons can eventually provide useful insight for homeowners, community partners, developers and others working to reimagine urban neighborhoods.

Test it. Measure it. Learn from it. Improve it. Then build on what works. 🌿

🌎Pioneering Solutions for Broader Impact:

Local Learning. Bigger Possibilities.

Urban Green Homes begins locally, but the hope reaches much farther.

By testing practical approaches to greener, more affordable urban living and sharing what we learn, we hope the lessons developed in our communities can inspire ideas far beyond a single home, neighborhood or city.

Every community is different, but the need for affordable housing, responsible use of resources and healthier, more resilient neighborhoods is shared around the world.

Start with one home. Learn locally. Share what works. Inspire change anywhere. 🌱🌎

🌿 Greener Places to Live—and Work

Connecting Sustainable Homes, Workspaces and Communities

The Urban Green Homes vision extends beyond the home. We believe the places where we live, work, create and connect can all become more efficient, environmentally thoughtful and affordable to operate.

By reimagining existing urban homes and eventually creating green, community-centered workspaces, we hope to demonstrate how sustainability can become part of everyday life—not simply an added feature.

It's a vision that connects affordable living, greener working environments, responsible use of resources and stronger communities.

Changing the way we live and work in green spaces. 🌱
