Project Manager (Construction & Redevelopment)

🏗️ Role: Manages housing redevelopment projects, ensuring homes are transformed into affordable, sustainable living spaces. Works closely with contractors, city officials, and sustainability experts.🔹 Responsibilities:

  • Oversee renovations of vacant homes and ensure quality construction.

  • Work with contractors, city officials, and inspectors.

  • Ensure energy-efficient, eco-friendly upgrades align with the nonprofit’s mission.

  • Track budgets and project timelines.


Key Responsibilities:

Project Oversight & Management

  • Oversee renovations of vacant homes, ensuring work meets quality standards.

  • Coordinate with contractors, city officials, inspectors, and other stakeholders.

  • Ensure projects adhere to timelines and meet sustainability standards.

Sustainability & Green Upgrades

  • Implement energy-efficient, eco-friendly upgrades aligned with the nonprofit’s goals.

  • Ensure adherence to green building certifications, such as LEED or Passive House standards.

Budget & Timeline Management

  • Develop and monitor project budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions.

  • Track project timelines, ensuring deadlines are met without compromising quality.

  • Report progress to senior leadership, identifying potential delays or risks.

Requirements

✔ Experience: At least 3-5 years in project management, specifically in construction, real estate redevelopment, or affordable housing projects.
✔ Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field (preferred).
✔ Technical Skills:

Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, Microsoft Project).
Knowledge of construction codes, building permits, and environmental standards.
Experience with green building practices and certifications.
✔ Strong Leadership & Communication:

Ability to lead and manage teams, ensuring all stakeholders stay aligned.
Strong communication skills to liaise with contractors, city officials, and other partners.
✔ Attention to Detail & Problem-Solving:

Proven ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining high standards.
Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges that arise during construction.
✔ Budget & Time Management:

Proven ability to manage budgets and timelines effectively, ensuring projects stay on track financially and operationally.

💼 Remote Work Options: Some aspects of the job, such as planning, coordination, and meetings, can be done remotely. However, regular on-site visits and project oversight will be required.
