We are currently in the process of establishing a 501c3 nonprofit real estate development organization, dedicated to revitalizing communities through a multifaceted approach. Our mission integrates sustainable development, innovative starter home urban design, and collaborative coworking spaces. HHI, now UGHCRC is committed to breathing new life into neglected urban spaces, restoring and promoting environmental sustainability. Additionally, our goal is to create dynamic coworking spaces that foster creativity, entrepreneurship, and knowledge sharing among diverse professionals. By embracing the principles of community engagement, inclusivity, and environmental stewardship, we aim to transform neighborhoods into vibrant, inclusive, and thriving hubs that inspire and enrich the lives of residents and visitors alike.
According to Constructor.org, there are four (4) "Elements or Components of Green Building-Material, Water, Energy, Health"
Constructor.org, who has also provided a 'Building Technology Guide', says that
"Materials for a green building are obtained from natural, renewable sources that have been managed and harvested in a sustainable way; or they are obtained locally to reduce the embedded energy costs of transportation; or salvaged from reclaimed materials at nearby sites. Materials are assessed using green specifications that look at their Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) in terms of their embodied energy, durability, recycled content, waste minimization, and their ability to be reused or recycled."
