One Extraordinary Encounter. A Lifetime of Questions. An Ever-Evolving Perspective.

Some experiences change the direction of our lives. Others change the way we see life itself.

​

In 2012, an unexpected encounter with a stranger inside an elevator became the beginning of a deeply personal journey—one filled with extraordinary experiences, emotional challenges, unexpected discoveries, and questions I never imagined I would be asking.

​

What began as an attempt to understand an experience I couldn't explain gradually became something much greater: an exploration of my own beliefs, perceptions, relationships, and the mysteries of human consciousness.

​

And I'm still exploring.

​

From The Spiritual Archer to My Awakening Journey

In the years following that encounter, I found myself researching spiritual awakening, Twin Flame connections, soul relationships, consciousness, and the experiences of others who described similar transformations.

​

I began writing under the name The Spiritual Archer, sharing my observations, questions, and reflections as I navigated experiences that often challenged everything I thought I understood.

​

Some of those early writings reflected what I believed at the time. Others captured moments of confusion, emotional intensity, inspiration, and discovery.

​

As the years passed, my perspectives continued to evolve.

​

Today, My Awakening Journey represents the continuation of those reflections—not as a collection of absolute truths, but as a personal record of an ever-changing understanding of life.

​

I believe there is something valuable in being able to look back at who we were, what we believed, and how our experiences helped shape who we are becoming.

​

The Woman Behind the Big Red Glasses

​

I'm Donna L. Holloman, MBA, MS—an author, entrepreneur, mother, grandmother, lifelong learner, and the woman sporting those signature Big Red Glasses! ❤️👓

​

My life has taken me through many extraordinary chapters, including years of significant vision loss, two corneal transplants, raising a family, pursuing higher education, and building a career in business, administration, and real estate.

​

Perhaps one of the most meaningful parallels in my life has been the experience of regaining my physical sight while, years later, discovering how much of my inner world I had yet to see.

​

Through my creative ventures and Big Red Glasses Publishing, I continue exploring the things that inspire me—writing, storytelling, photography, technology, entrepreneurship, and the endless possibilities of imagination.

​

And yes, I still have plenty of questions! 😂

​

The Story That Inspired the Books

My experience eventually inspired Stranger On An Elevator: One Extraordinary Encounter and the Search for What It Meant, now available in an expanded edition.

​

The book tells the story of the encounter and the life experiences surrounding a journey that would challenge my understanding of love, relationships, spirituality, and myself.

​

But not every thought, question, or discovery fits neatly between the covers of a book.

​

That's where this blog comes in.

​

Here, you'll find personal reflections, earlier writings, new perspectives, and occasional observations about the wonderfully complicated experience of being human.

​

Some posts may challenge familiar beliefs. Others may simply invite you to look at something from a different angle.

You don't have to agree with my interpretations to enjoy the journey.

​

The Journey Continues

I don't consider myself a spiritual teacher, nor do I claim to have all the answers.

​

I'm simply a woman who experienced something extraordinary, began asking questions, and discovered that sometimes the most meaningful journey is the one that takes us inward.

​

My understanding today may not be my understanding tomorrow—and I'm perfectly comfortable with that.

​

After all, isn't that part of growing?

​

The elevator doors opened. The questions never stopped.

​
